Plant Heritage Plant Fair

When so much else is closed on Easter Sunday why not come along to the early season Plant Fair organised by the Devon Group of Plant Heritage. Lots of nurseries to buy from – plus plant supports and other blacksmithing products – and the lovely Burrow Farm Gardens and plant centre to visit. What’s not to like?

There will be a number of stalls in the Victory Hall and Stockland & Yarcombe Preschool will run an Easter Egg Hunt with children’s activities during the morning.
Sherborne Castle Country Fair

Bank Holiday Monday sees us at Sherborne Castle. It’s our first year attending and everyone tells us it’s a good show so we’re looking forward to it. The fair is all about raising money for local charities, especially those for children. Since 1996 they’ve raised over £1.2 million so it’s great to be supporting such a positive venture.
Colyton Garden and Food Festival

This lovely show run by the Colyton Grammar School Parents Association features more than 60 stalls with garden plants, tools and furniture, food and drink, and all types of crafts. More information
Buckfast Abbey Garden Fayre

Hardy Plant Society Summer Plant Market

The Devon Group of the Hardy Plant Society is holding its Summer Plant Market again at Burrow Farm Gardens. Lots of lovely plants to buy from specialist nurseries. And of course plant supports and other garden items from The Gardener’s Blacksmith.
Exeter Craft Festival
Thursday 4 (10am-5.30pm), Friday 5 (9.30am-5.30pm) and Saturday 6 (9.30am-5pm) July 2019, Cathedral Green, Exeter EX1 1HS
This is a very different type of event with many visitors just happening to catch the festival as they visit the majestic cathedral or pass through on their way across Cathedral Green. Over 100 stalls in a unique tented village give the visitor the opportunity to see the work of the West Country’s best artists and makers. More information
Uplyme & Lyme Regis Horticultural Society Summer Show and Country Fayre

A great village show serving both Lyme Regis and Uplyme. Potato themed classes in the Horticultural Show, games, live music and entertainment, steam train rides, family dog show, food and craft stalls, country skills demonstrations, sideshows, games, and refreshments on the playing field, in the big marquee and in the village hall. Taunton Flower Show

This is a splendid agricultural show by the sea, packed full of exhibits including livestock, horses, homecrafts and horticulture. There are over 400 trade stands and it really is an excellent day out. More information
