Mapperton Spring Fair

Mapperton’s famous Spring Plant Fair is one of the largest and most popular specialist plant fairs in Dorset. It’s a great day out for plant lovers and features stalls from specialist plantsmen all over the region. Access to the superb gardens (winner of the Garden of the Year 2020 Historic Houses award) is included in the entry price. The entry money goes to a charity of Mapperton’s choice. The Coach House café will be open serving hot drinks and snacks.
Burrow Farm Gardens Spring Plant Fair

Easter Sunday is a great day to visit Burrow Farm Gardens and grab some spring plant treasures. The plant fair is open until 3pm but the gardens are open until 6pm. Entrance to the fair is £2 but this will be taken off the entry price to the gardens. RHS members will have free access to the plant fair. On-site cafe for drinks, cake and light lunches.
Symondsbury Estate Plant Fair

A new venture at a new venue and a weekday event for a change. This well-established visitor destination has a range of shops and a popular cafe, so plenty of interest in addition to the plant fair.
Yarlington House Plant Fair
Saturday 10 May 2025, 10am – 4pm, Yarlington House, Yarlington, Wincanton, Somerset BA9 8DY
Stands are set in the delightful parkland to the front and side of Yarlington House. Entrance money goes to St Marys Church and Yarlington Village Hall. Refreshments and raffle
Athelhampton Spring Plant Fair

Plant Heritage Dorset always lay on a really good plant fair. The emphasis is on early season plants, plant-related items and some local crafts. Admission includes access to the splendid grounds and gardens.

Stockland Summer Fair

Expect another great day out at Stockland’s traditional country fair with oodles to see and do. Old fashioned games, crafts, home baking and plant stalls, family entertainment and the world famous Stockland Eggathon. Refreshments in the village hall, BBQs and a bar. Admission £2.50, children free. We’re hoping for some dry weather this year after last year’s downpours!

Coates Plant Fair

An exciting new venue at Coates English Willow where they’ve been growing and making willow products for over 200 years. The site has a new retail shop selling willow products, additional shops, a cafe and visitor centre/museum. A plant fair seems a natural fit.
Devon HPS Summer Fair

Uplyme Summer Flower and Produce Show

Organised by the Uplyme & Lyme Regis Horticultural Society, the show focuses on horticulture, gardening, the natural world and the local environment. As well as fine flowers and produce entered for the classes in the marquee, there will be stalls, demonstrations and education exhibits. And of course you might just give in to the temptations of the cream teas and cakes! Uplyme Church flower festival is on at the same time. Entrance £1 all adults; 16 and under free.
The Oak Fair

The Oak Fair is a marvellous 2-day event celebrating the countryside, conservation, woodland timber and traditional craft. There are over 200 exhibitors, traditional craft demonstrations, big machinery shows, heavy horse logging and lots of local foods and drinks. There’s a marvellous atmosphere at this show so do try and fit it into your calendar.
Abbotsbury Late Summer Plant Fair

Sturminster Newton Cheese Festival

You may wonder why we’re going to a cheese festival. But apart from the obvious attraction it’s a venue for high quality local artisan craft. Also featuring live music, food producers other than cheese, children’s activities and an ale and cider bar. What’s not to like?
Colyford Goose Fair

We’re dressing up today to join the medieval goose fayre in Colyford – this year celebrating the 800th anniversary of Colyford being granted a royal charter. After a very jolly procession of folk in medieval costume, there’s an afternoon of traditional crafts and lots of food and drink. The highlights include a mock goose auction and a mummers play. This six-week slice of Christmas shopping heaven brings together a glorious mix of unique and beautiful gifts from 40 local designers, artists and makers. The brilliant Rose Hatcher hosts an annual extravaganza of loveliness with an exceptional range of fairly priced, properly hand-crafted gifts. We’re one of the artisans invited to take part. You can probably find all your Christmas presents here and why not treat yourself too – go on, you deserve it. Oh, and there’s a lovely toasty log fire as well.
